Eventually I wound my down to The Fat Fig. Kacper Osmola was adamant that they do the best breakfast in Chichester so it was worth a try.
Whilst there are sandwiches on the menu, there was no mention of toasties. Instead I decided to splash out. Their kitchen was open. So why not try the sirloin steak?

Worth going back to have another look in the evening. When they offe a varied interesting menu, as well as a 300g steak.

Bigger and just as good. I would have preferred garlic butter and sauted potatoes. But one does have a choice of peppercorn or mushroom sauce and it is served with traditional French fries.

To start we ordered calamari rings . A pleasant meal and good excuse to try the rack of lamb and kleftiko next time.

Haven’t had much luck with steak in the UK. Pizza chains and Chinese takeways appear to be the popular choice.
